The game is a little short, but the developers say that there will be a continuation of Mortimer Beckett’s time adventures. We liked sounds and music a lot because they perfectly fit the location and time you are in. All the objects can be seen clearly, but the game gives you pictures of the items you need to find and sometimes we failed to recognize them. The graphics in Mortimer Beckett and the Time Paradox is quite good. With its help it is almost impossible to stuck during your serious mission. There is also an unlimited hint system that needs some time to recharge. Each level consists of several locations you can change them using your map. After you collect an item from the list, you can either use it to solve a puzzle, like placing a ladder to climb up the roof, or to fix the time paradox your uncle has created. First, he must find the pieces of Uncle Jerome’s Time Bomb, which is the key to sealing the portals for good. This deliberate randomness of items make the game slightly more difficult and definitely more entertaining from a replayability perspective.There are several ages to explore in this game, like Ancient Egypt, or the Vikings time. Mortimer has two tasks he must complete in each era. Items found in one area are moved one you come back to it the second or third time. The universal hints system means that players never get stuck on an area or level, because there’s a little nudge that will help you out when you need it. You can however choose to have your playlist running in the background, should you find the time what with being addicted to this game. The sound, while repetitive, does not offend the ears. Thee graphics are great and with hidden object games and a supernatural bend, the graphics engine has to be up to showing some things realitically and some others, hyper realisticaly, so to speak.
A good number of the points for the graphis though is the colour palette. The graphics for Mortimer Beckett have improved, still 2D but with more depth. The storyline is pretty good actually, hence the five stars. So Mortimer must travel the planar system, skipping through time as he strives to recover and piece together the broken Time Paradox.
